Mobile Commerce - A Revolution in Digital World

The world is getting smaller. And this applies to more than just the phrase ‘it’s a small world after all’. First there were desktops that occupied a sizeable portion of anyone’s desk. Then there came slimmer screens and then laptops. The laptops then gave way to notebooks and finally, came mobile phones. The Internet has expanded but now, it has come into our mobile phones which we carry in our pockets. Thus, with the Internet simply a tap or click away, it is but obvious that the way trading and deals are done has changed dramatically as well.

Mobile commerce
While the older generation may still be skeptical and may not be interested in trusting a computer interface with telling them what to buy, the younger generation is wary of going to a brick and mortar shop to make a purchase. Thus, mobile commerce is slowly on the rise as more and more people are opting for smart phones that have all the options available for a person looking to make a purchase. So, whether one may be looking for a small tissue set or may be interested in purchasing an LCD television screen, they are not hesitating any more to buy all these things and more from a mobile phone.

Thus, mobile commerce is looking to revolutionize the way shopping is done in the future to the extent that luxury brands and certain stores are in fact looking to bring the online experience into their walk in stores. So for businesses that wish to really tap into a huge growing market that is very lucrative indeed, they need to pull up their socks and ensure that mobile commerce is an option available to their customers because as it is in real life, so is it in the business world as well - evolve or perish.
